White tie cutout dress

White tie cutout dress

I absolutely love this dress! I love tie front dresses and I will be wearing them a lot this summer. This dress is lightweight and comfortable and I love the slit on the sleeves. I got this in two colors because I love it so much!

It’s perfect for the summer time and you can definitely dress it up or down depending on where you’re going!

Monument Valley

Monument Valley

On our way to Moab, Utah we stopped at Monument Valley. Monument Valley is located on Navajo land on the border of Arizona/ Utah. This was my favorite national park! The red rocks were so captivating.
To enter the national park you must pay $20 (price can change depending on car, RV, bike). They give you a road map that highlights the different monuments and look out spots. There’s a couple of ways you can drive through this national park. You can either take a tour or you can drive it yourself, depending on what kind of car you have. The roads are dirt roads with some bumps and holes. So, if you have a smaller car it might be tough, but it is still possible! We drove it ourselves, so we could take our time. At every monument you can stop and park and get out to take some photos. It can take up to 2-3 hours to see all the monuments give or take. Depends how long you take photos lol.
All the monuments were so beautiful! It’s amazing to see these natural structures and how they are formed.

Monument Valley is also a famous filming location for the movie Stagecoach which starred John Wayne. There is a point called john Fords Point Overlook which is named after the director, John Ford, of the movie Stagecoach. At this stop you can pay $5 and take a picture with a horse, best $5 I have ever spent! Make sure whoever is taking the photo changes the camera setting to vivid. The Navajos taught me this trick and it makes the colors of the red rocks stand out so much more!
We left Monument Valley heading towards Moab and on this road is a point called Forrest Gump Point. Here is a great scenery of Monument Valley from the distance! We took a photo together here (see pics below).
This was one of my top 3 favorite spots on our road trip. Don’t pass up a trip to Monument Valley because it is beautiful.

Side note, driving through the Indian reservation is so fun! There’s fun places to stop and eat Indian food and shop cool jewelry! We also saw a lot of wild horses!

Sedona

Sedona

Sedona is a magical place. We had one day in Sedona, so we took advantage of it and tried to do everything! First thing we did was eat of course. We ate at a Mexican restaurant called 89 Agave. It was amazing! We got almost everything on the menu, but my favorite dish was the street corn. We then walked around the town looking for some cool jewelry! My husband found an amazing turquoise and opal ring (pictures below). I wanted a ring like that but unfortunately, they didn’t have any in my size…
After checking out the stores we went to slide rock. Slide rock was so beautiful and a fun place to enjoy when the weather is on the warmer side. You must pay an entrance fee and I think it was $20. After slide rock we wanted a coffee and decided to stop at a place we passed on the way to slide rock. We stopped at Indian Gardens Café & Market. This place is a must!! We had some coffee and snacks here. The food was amazing and the coffee even better! The place is also charming, there is a garden patio and every chair has a Mexican blanket on it. How cute is that?!
We then drove to Chapel of the Holy Cross. This is a church in the red rocks and it is so beautiful! They have golf carts that will pick you up and bring you up to the church from wherever you park. You can see all the famous rocks in Sedona from the church. We then headed up to the airport to see some more beautiful views of Sedona!
There is so many things to do and see in Sedona you just have to pick and choose which ones you want to see the most if you don’t have enough time like we did. We wish we could have gone on a hike! But overall it was an amazing day in Sedona and we will be back!
